The Editor,

Television is a wonderful thing, it allows us to appreciate just how lucky we all are to be living in Australia under the benevolent "rule" of our democratically elected Prime Minister John Winston Howard", his words not mine.

What a thrill it was to see a Senior Lecturer at James Cook University being arbitrarily interfered with by Armed Forces, having his wrists snapped backwards in an obscene fashion and forcibly removed from James Cook University's Library (the resource centre at his place

of employment)? The Senior Lecturer is guaranteed Academic Freedom in the University grounds and Armed Forces are banned by International Law from University grounds, they are a sanctuary, as is the Vatican.

There are a number of International Basic Human Rights guaranteed forever by The united Nations Charter, the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights, the International Covenant on Social and Economic Rights, the Convention on the Rights of the Child etc.

which appear to have been breached/denied by Mr Howard and his Armed Henchmen. To name a few, the Senior Lecturer's Human Rights of "freedom of thought", "freedom of conscience", "freedom of expression", "freedom of publication", "freedom of assembly", 

"freedom of association", "freedom of movement", "freedom of belief", and "freedom of religion" have been violated. All apparently so John Winston Howard could be "seen to be" doing great things for the "education" of Australians by opening a building, obviously to be kept devoid of any knowledge or wisdom. Other tyrants have adopted similar approaches in the past, Hitler, Stalin and Mao readily come to mind.

The massive Police presence hours before Howard's arrival to keep students away from their library and the forced arrest of their Senior Lecturer gives us a good insight into the "education" we can expect. How else can we be "educated" to believe the economy is

"Booming" as espoused by Treasurer Peter Costello? How else do we forget that the Australian Dollar has devalued over 30%, interest rates have gone up 50%, inflation gone up 50%, the Current Account Deficit continues to spiral, Unemployment continues to rise, and all the People's Utilities and Assets are stolen, and  "given away" Overseas? Just in the last six months.

Unless of course Dictator John, and his democratically elected Mates get rid of ALL Human Rights such as Freedom of thought, conscience, expression, publication, assembly, association, movement, belief,

Religion and others, and imposes his own Propaganda upon us all.

 The Editor,

Full marks to Treasurer Peter Costello for his initiative and forthrightness in "saying sorry" to ALL the people of Australia, something his leader John Howard still has difficulty in saying.  True, Billions of dollars are being wasted on the "advertisements" which are "authorised by the Commonwealth Government" which are ALL generated by Mr Costello's Departmental responsibilities i.e. Treasury, ATO, ACCC and Mr Fels. The "ads" feature chains which depict SLAVERY, but the Government are quite prepared to admit that they have held us in these "chains of slavery" since at least 1936.

They openly admit that they have been "Holding Australia back" and now "Australia can 'move forward", they are admitting that they have been moving Australia backwards all the time Australian's have been paying TAXES.

The boasts of the Government is that they have been  imposing "Hidden Taxes" which have been "Unfair", and "less fair Taxes", and the Government "shouldn't hold Australia back" any longer. The obvious answer to Shangri-La, Utopia, or Paradise is of course Peter Costello's GST Legislation which is the epitome of "Fairness" with nothing "hidden", which is sure to "Move us forward" just the same as New Zealand.

 Mr Howard's Government, with help from ALL Nationals and Australian Democrats, passed GST "Legislation" which states quote: -

   "The Commissioner of Taxation may:

a) Treat a Particular Event that actually happened as not having happened; and

b) Treat a' Particular Event that did not actually happen as having happened and, if
    appropriate, treat the Event as;

i) Having happened at a particular time; and
ii) Having involved particular action by a particular entity;

              and

c) Treat a Particular Event that actually happened as:

i) Having happened at a time different from the time it
   ACTUALLY happened; or
ii) Having involved Particular Action by a PARTICULAR ENTITY 
    (whether or NOT the Event actually involved any action

This Legislation of course gives The Commissioner of Taxation, Michael Carmody the "Power to Lie" and every "Court" within Australia is obliged to uphold ALL his lies, and must "Convict you as guilty" and "Fine you up to $10 Million". All Liberals, Nationals and Australian Democrats passed this into "Legislation" they ALL support lying.

Ask yourself how, or if, this GST "Legislation" will "Move Australia forward", not be "Unfair", and be "Fair"? Ask yourself how you WON'T be a slave to Mr Howard, Mr Costello, Mr Carmody, Mr Fels, ALL judges, ALL "courts", ALL Police, ALL Prison Officers, ALL banks, Treasury and the Australian Tax Office, and its Agents ALL Tax Agents, Accountants, and EVERYONE who proposes to collect GST on behalf of the above liars?
